On December 3rd, the two grade 6 classes will be going on a citywide tour to visit the sites of the Halifax Explosion that took place 98 years ago on December 6th at 9:05am. More than 2000 people died and 9000 injured at one of the worst man-made disasters in the world. Some of the sites we will be visiting are: Anchor Dr to see a piece of the Mont Blanc anchor, the mass grave for the unidentified victims next to the Vincent Coleman apartments, Richmond School, fort Needham bell tower, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, St. Paul's Church in Grande Parade, and the Chebucto Road School.
